Happy New Year, Georgia Democrats! As 2009 begins and the inauguration approaches, we have so much to look forward to as Democrats.

* The Georgia State Society's Inaugural Gala
Monday, January 19, 8:00 pm to midnight
Washington, DC.
The Honorable Sanford Bishop, Chair of the Georgia State Society, and the members of the Georgia State Society cordially invite you to put on your tuxedos and ball gowns, and join them for the Georgia Inaugural Gala, beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History on 10th Street and Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC.

The DNC Winter Meeting will be held on January 21 at 12:00 noon at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC. We will post a report from the meeting on the blog and we will email out a full report of the meeting when we return to Georgia. At the Winter Meeting, the DNC will elect the remainder of the Officers to serve for the next four years.
